Can I reserve a spot? You may purchase a spot on Eventbrite.com
How do I reserve a spot next to me? You may not reserve a spot, you must purchase the spot next to you on Eventbrite.com
Can I have more than one spot? Yes, you may purchase more than one spot on via Eventbrite.com
How do I get a bigger spot? All spots are 10×10, in order to get a bigger spot you must purchase multiple spots side by side via Eventbrite.com
Can I pull up my Car? You may pull up your vehicle to your space to load and unload only
Can I park my Car? You will be able to park your vehicle in the parking lot at the Fairgrounds
Who will help me? Staff member will help in directing you to your space but will not be available to help you load or unload.
Do I have to bring my own table? Yes, you are required to bring your own table and chairs
Do I Need a Seller’s Permit?: Occasional sellers(Meaning you’ve had no more than 2 yard/garage sales in a 12 month period) DO NOT need a seller’s permit. ONLY businesses and vendors selling new handmade items, such as crafts, will need a Seller’s Permit. Permits are FREE and can be secured and downloaded in an instant on the Board Of Eqalization (B.O.E) website.
IF YOU ARE A CRAFTER, AND ARE SELLING NEW HANDCRAFTED ITEMS, YOU MUST have a seller’s permit for this event. You may download a permit with a crafter’s code at boe.ca.gov. And you may call 530-224-4731 and ask for Sharyon for assistance.
The B.O.E has also informed us:
IF YOU ARE A New and RESALE seller(such as the cosmetics, health food ingredients, fashion purse, redwood furniture, body jewelry, and new jewelry in general, and lavender specialty items entrepreneurs) YOU MUST HAVE A SELLER’S PERMIT FOR THIS SALE.
FOOD VENDORS MUST HAVE THE PERMITS TO SELL AT THIS SALE (PER THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION). FOOD VENDORS WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEE FROM SHASTA DISTRICT FAIR AND EVENT CENTER THIS FEE IS $..
HAVE YOUR PERMITS WITH YOU. WE WILL NOT BE CHECKING FOR THEM, BUT THERE WILL WITHOUT DOUBT BE A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION IN ATTENDANCE, CHECKING FOR PERMITS FROM THESE SPECIALIZED SELLERS.
ITEMS PROHIBITED FROM THIS SALE:
WE ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ALLOW FIREARMS SALES.
MOTOR VEHICLES CANNOT BE SOLD AT THIS SALE (THIS INCLUDES MOTORCYCLES, MOTORIZED SCOOTERS, CARS, TRUCKS, ATV’S, QUADS, BOATS, PERSONAL WATERCRAFT )
THERE WILL BE SOME NEW CARS IN THE SELLING AREA FROM ONE OF OUR SPONSORS, HOWEVER, SELLING OF THOSE AUTOS WILL NOT TAKE PLACE ON THE GROUNDS.
ITEMS DEEMED TO BE HAZARDOUS, SUCH AS CHEMICALS OR PAINTS, OR DRUGS, INCLUDING LEGAL MEDICAL DRUGS, WILL NOT BE PERMITTED FOR SALE.
NO ANIMALS MAY BE SOLD AT THIS SALE.
Food:
Only designated food vendors who have paid a premium for the permission to do so, can sell ready to eat food on the premises. Bring water or soft drinks for your own consumption, but not for sale, and food or snacks for yourself but not for sale. Several sponsor vendors will be selling water bottles at the event.
If you are putting up a tent or ez up type cover, it must fit inside your selling space AND MUST BE WEIGHTED DOWN TO AVOID POSSIBLE FLYAWAY AND POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO ADJACENT SELLING SPACES AND PROPERTY. IF COVERING IS NOT WEIGHTED DOWN PROPERLY, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PUT IT AWAY. PUTTING THE EDGE OF A BRICK ON THE EDGE OF THE TENT LEG IS NOT ACCEPTABLE WEIGHT- DOWN.
